Brazos County Courthouse Phase I, II, III, IV, & V, 300 East 26th. Street, Bryan, Texas 77803, Competitive sealed proposal. Patterson Architects design team evaluated the courthouse for the needs of the departments thru 2025. Our team designed offices for the County Clerk, District Clerk and the County Attorney, upgrades to existing elevators, new restrooms, and support facilities were included in the design of the existing facility. An exterior evaluation was completed on the Travertine, Brick, roofing, and concrete panels. The scope of work included documenting existing conditions, visual examinations, and Thermal imaging. The travertine and masonry exterior of the 1950’s building was cleaned, pointed up and sealed. The 1980’s addition many of the concrete panels which were added in the 1984 construction project, were removed and a new curtain wall system was installed for energy efficient natural lighting and a provided an updated appearance for the exterior of the building. The design included new state of the art courtrooms, conference rooms, offices and support staff spaces. Our office worked with the Historic Landmark Commission on the renovation.
